A WOMB WITH A VIEW
Putting together the pieces of a feminist housewife
A Womb with a View is meant to challenge the way we see the world in general. This means that there is an overall content warning for (amongst other things) sexual violence, prejudice and the occasional expletive.
When my daughter was born I had to become more aware of how I lived my life. Everything I said, did or thought was going to shape the future of this brand new human being. The posts on this site reflect the ongoing process of introspection that was inspired by the momentous event of becoming a mother. It describes the process of unlearning conditioning, challenging preconceptions and seeing the world through new eyes.
This blog is the culmination of a long process of accepting that a woman doesn't have to choose between using her brain or her uterus. We can choose to be full time mothers, domestic Goddesses and dare I say it, housewives, while retaining the ability to write intelligent, thought provoking articles and even still call ourselves feminists. Now it's time for the world to catch up to that understanding. Here follows the perspectives of a wom(b)an with (I think) some rather interesting views.
